Brief History

Known Worldwide as the Middle East leading structural steel fabricator Qatar Space Technology was established in South Korea to offer its expertise in the fabrication of structural steel and plate works for various industrial and commercial applications. For the past two decades QST supplied structural steel and plate works for many large power and desalination, petrochemical, gas & oil, cement plants, steel mills, high-rise buildings, sports stadiums, as well as other industrial and commercial complexes.

Mar 1998:   Established as Mechanical Division, Yousef Al Ghamdi Industries at Riyadh, KSA.

Aug 1998:   Petrochemical Olefin III, Jubail, KSA.

Jan 1999:    SECO-CER/SPGP PP7 & PP8 Power Plant, Riyadh, KSA.

Jan 2000:   Moving business to Qatar as name of “Yousef Al Ghamdi Industries” based on KSA business license.

Jul 2000:    NGL 4 Plant (Qatar Petroleum), Mesaieed, Qatar.

May 2001:  Established as Yolk Arabia Construction Co. W.L.L in Qatar based.

Apr 2003:   LPG Tank Project (Qatar Petroleum), Mesaieed Qatar.

Sept 2003:  Business Investment by M/s. Space Technology Co. Ltd (Based in South Korea).

Dec 2003:   Joint Venture with M/s. Space Technology Co. Ltd.

Dec 2003:   KHALIFA Sports Hall (Aspire Dome), Doha, Qatar.

Jan 2004:   Established as Qatar Space Technology W.L.L. “QST” (Partnership with M/s. Space Technology Co. Ltd).

Jan 2005:   44 Storey West Bay Residential Tower for Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Abdullah Al Misnad, Doha, Qatar.

Jun 2005:   QASCO HBI/DRI (Qatar Steel Company), Mesaieed, Qatar.
